The Milena is traditional in outline with modern touches worked in. A sweetheart neckline holds the classic line, and the bodice carries a peplum — the detail that refines the whole look and shapes the waist.
Bodice and skirt share a lively floral, while the plain apron, finished with a good belt buckle, brings it back to earth. A button placket closes it. A classic lace blouse with playful detail plays up the traditional side.

THE TRENTINI BUILD
Stabilising boning at the centre front holds the shape. Generous seam allowances at the sides, centre and waist mean it can be altered and re-altered — built to last years, not a season. Double-stitched seams, ruffles worked by hand.
Fit note: a dirndl should sit skin-tight. Blouse and accessories not included.
