The Leyla is a traditional classic. A straight neckline framed by decorative Froschgoscherl trim — the ruched Bavarian braid you only get on properly made trachten — and a zip that keeps it comfortable.
A lengthwise stripe runs across both bodice and skirt, which is what gives it its coherence, and offset braid at the hem adds the elegance. The plain apron rounds it off.

THE TRENTINI BUILD
Stabilising boning at the centre front holds the shape. Generous seam allowances at the sides, centre and waist mean it can be altered and re-altered — built to last years, not a season. Double-stitched seams, ruffles worked by hand.
Fit note: a dirndl should sit skin-tight. Blouse and accessories not included.
