The Leslie gets by on elegant simplicity. A sweetheart neckline and a restrained bodice give it the classic note, without any of the fuss.
The skirt carries a delicate scattered-flower print and offset braid at the hem — charming rather than loud. The plain apron is finished with a striking patterned belt and a good buckle, which is where the personality lives. THE TRENTINI BUILD
Stabilising boning at the centre front holds the shape. Generous seam allowances at the sides, centre and waist mean it can be altered and re-altered — built to last years, not a season. Double-stitched seams, ruffles worked by hand.
Fit note: a dirndl should sit skin-tight. Blouse and accessories not included.
