Emilia is traditional style done properly. This is the high-necked model — a small V at a rounded neckline that gives the dress a modern touch, and a dream for the classic dirndl wearer. The gently flared A-line skirt does lovely things for the silhouette. Bodice and skirt carry floral decoration, and the lace apron, matched by lace trim at the skirt hem, finishes it off.
The bodice closes with buttons. Two side pockets in the skirt. Sleeveless, fitted cut — a dirndl should sit close to the body. Julia Trentini recommends a high-necked short-sleeve blouse.
