The Anna is a mix of traditional and modern — classic shapes meeting a new mix of patterns. The neckline is left classic and completely unadorned, which is exactly what makes it read as elegant and current at once.
It's a cotton dirndl, so it wears easily. The bodice pattern repeats in the skirt, and the apron brings fine lengthwise stripes as the counterpoint. Fine buttons close it and give a nice contrast. Good with a long-sleeved black lace blouse and a traditional Janker.

THE TRENTINI BUILD
Stabilising boning at the centre front holds the shape. Generous seam allowances at the sides, centre and waist mean it can be altered and re-altered — built to last years, not a season. Double-stitched seams, ruffles worked by hand.
Fit note: a dirndl should sit skin-tight. Blouse and accessories not included.
